The PYROSIL® process
It is based on the flame pyrolytic deposition of amorphous silicon dioxide on a substrate material. The surface is passed through a gas flame into which a silicon-containing substance, PYROSIL®, is dosed. This creates a coating of amorphous silicon dioxide on the substrate. This coating can have various applications, depending on the properties of the substrate and the requirements of the application.
