WACKER Primer G 790 TF is a toluene- and aromatic-free primer that improves the adhesion of addition-curing silicones (RTV-2) to metals, glass and plastics. It is applied thinly by dipping, brushing or spraying and must dry for at least 1 hour before potting.

Application tips: Apply the primer as thinly as possible and free of air bubbles. Allow the applied primer to dry for at least 1 hour at ambient temperature. The so-called "baking" of the dried primer film between 120°C and 150°C leads to improved adhesion, especially with metals.

What is the advantage of the TF version?
G 790 TF is free of toluene and aromatics, making it more pleasant to work with, while being just as universally applicable.

How do I achieve the best adhesion on metal?
Prepare a clean, dry and grease-free surface and roughen very smooth surfaces. Apply the primer thinly and free of bubbles and let it dry for at least 1 hour. Baking at 120–150 °C further improves adhesion on metals.

Which primer suits which silicone?
